ABSTRACT
Running is one of the most popular and accessible physical activities in world. However, running-related injuries are unfortunately very common. Scientific evidence limited scarce regarding (cost-)effectiveness implementation process interventions for prevention. Thus, objective this study will be to investigate effectiveness, cost-effectiveness a injury prevention program (RunIn3). This protocol pragmatic hybrid type 1 randomized controlled trial. There 530 runners over 18 years old, without last 3 months from São Paulo, Brazil. delivered online with two broad actions: (1) provide feedback on individual training characteristics risk; (2) providing/enhancing knowledge, skills self-efficacy preventive behaviors. The primary outcome proportion reporting injuries. secondary outcomes behaviors, direct indirect costs, outcomes. main effectiveness analysis performed using linear probability mixed models order allow changes time yield absolute risk reduction between-groups. hypothesis that RunIn3 effective reducing promoting behavior, either by increasing frequency healthy behaviors or Moreover, if risk, we believe effect would go alongside societal costs.
