ABSTRACT
Abstract The acid resistance of fracturing proppant is poor in general, which affects oil exploration. We have discovered that adding BaCO3 and reducing SiO2 can improve acid resistance. A ceramic proppant created in an Al2O3-TiO2-BaCO3-MgO (ATBM) system. The effects of TiO2 content and the proportion of BaCO3/MgO on acid solubility were investigated using a 12 wt% HCl + 3 wt% HF acid mixture. The acid solubility of sample is as low as 0.13 wt%. It is useful for increasing the acid resistance of ceramic proppant that control formed phases and improve microstructure by the ratio of components and technological system.
