ABSTRACT
Researching the murine epigenome in disease models has been hampered by lack of appropriate and cost-effective DNA methylation arrays. Here we perform a comprehensive, comparative analysis between Mouse Methylation BeadChip (MMB) reduced-representation bisulfite sequencing (RRBS) two colorectal carcinogenesis. We evaluate coverage, variability, ability to identify differential RRBS MMB. show that MMB is an effective tool for profiling methylome performs comparably with RRBS, identifying similar differentially methylated pathways. Although choice technology experiment dependent will be predicated on underlying biology being probed, these analyses provide insights into relative strengths weaknesses each approach.
