ABSTRACT
Tunnel fires can result in serious casualties, and air curtains are crucial for tunnel fire prevention control. This study adopts a theoretical analysis Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) full-scale numerical simulation to investigate the longitudinal variation law of heat decay under natural ventilation curtain jet conditions, as well flow characteristics field, temperature rise, smoke efficiency changes different effects. The results indicate that effectively isolate diffusion flow. As velocity increases, difference between human height ceiling decreases. For 20 MW release rate, minimum is 15 m/s, greater width curtain, smaller leakage flux efficiency. reduction rate gradually decreases angle dimensionless used obtain power-law equations with source, width, angle. error model prediction measured within ±20%.
