ABSTRACT
Tissue damage leads to a robust and rapid inflammatory response whereby leukocytes are actively drawn toward the wound. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) has been shown be an immediate signal essential for recruitment of these blood cells wound sites in both Drosophila vertebrates [1Niethammer P. Grabher C. Look A.T. Recent studies zebrafish have that wound-induced H2O2 is detected redox-sensitive Src family kinase (SFK) Lyn within responding [3Yoo S.K. Starnes T.W. Deng Q. Huttenlocher A. redox sensor leukocyte attraction vivo.Nature. 2011; 480: 109-112Crossref (330) Here, we show same signaling occurs with mutants homolog Src42A displaying impaired migration wounds. We go on activation necessary trigger cascade involving ITAM domain-containing protein Draper-I (a member CED-1 apoptotic cell clearance receptors) downstream kinase, Shark, required The Src42A-Draper-Shark-mediated axis homologous well-established SFK-ITAM-Syk-signaling pathway used vertebrate adaptive immune responses. Consequently, our results suggest immunoreceptor-signaling pathways important distinguishing self from non-self appear evolved more-ancient response. Furthermore, this changes role chemoattractant activator primes respond cues via receptors such as Draper.
