ABSTRACT
The mouse visual cortex contains interconnected higher areas, but their functional specializations are unclear. Here, we used a data-driven approach to examine the representations of complex stimuli by L2/3 neurons across measured using large-field-of-view two-photon calcium imaging. Using specialized stimuli, found fidelity texture in area LM, compared AL. Complementarily, motion AL, LM. We also observed this segregation information response naturalistic videos. Finally, explored how receptive field models cortical could produce segregated and observed. These selective aid behaviors such as visually guided navigation.
