ABSTRACT
This data article provides useful information often required for numerical modeling of the so-called microbond tests. It includes experimental and simulation testing using Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG) fibres optical strains. Microbond was performed on five different droplets varying embedded length diameter to collect data. Finite element carried out modelling validated, by two variables force strain, The output fitted models is given also visualized via graphs force-strain derivative curves. simulations provided finite mesh densities. Here, clarify type form use readers, energy distribution curves describing various functionalities droplet, fibre interface are presented. For further reading, interpretation analysis this can be found in a research titled "3D interfacial debonding during testing: Advantages local strain recording" (R. Dsouza et al., 2020) [1].
