ABSTRACT
The dataset provides data on beachgoers' behaviours, attitudes and perceptions of coastal bathing risks at a high energy beach in South-West France [1]. Data were collected from face-to-face quantitative survey conducted La Lette Blanche beach, during the lifeguard-patrolled summer period (July-August) 2022 sample 722 visitors. Beachgoers interviewed across various times day (i.e. morning or afternoon), days week weekdays weekends) marine weather conditions. All respondents provided informed consent after reading participant information form beginning survey. was French English consisted forty questions convering four main topics: (1) toward risk general concerns about everyday life, including leisure water based recreation context; (2) experience (participation activities general, visits southwest beaches, recreational activities, previous accidents); (3) to Lette-Blanche time (attractiveness, behaviour perception risks); (4) sources preventive behaviours related risks. Respondents socio-demographic characteristics [2].
