ABSTRACT
The Agenda 2030 poses critical elements regarding the transition towards a more sustainable development. This paper aims at exploring and comparing path of development within United States China subnational level. An index Integrated Sustainable Development is introduced to measure local on an internationally-comparable scale. Index computed both national level resulting scores are compared across two countries, also through adoption convergence cluster analysis, allowing answer four questions: Are US moving agenda? current achievements uniformly distributed countries? states/provinces converging uniform development? Do existing differences analogies between states provinces give rise common clusters results lead one robust conclusion: while can claim better result in rankings development, exhibits balanced achievement terms synergies Goals spatial distribution. Nonetheless, countries characterized by disparities scarce Planet-related Goals. Policy recommendations discussed accordingly.
