ABSTRACT
Tidal flats have great potential to expand human living space and provide abundant resources. However, large-scale reclamation development activities had profound impacts on regional ecosystems, it is important grasp the comprehensive characteristics of effects from a macro perspective. We selected coastal area Jiangsu, China, as typical area, investigated impact wetland system perspective ecosystem services stability. The optimal equilibrium state was used benchmark stability deviation index (SDI) constructed by clarifying connotation stable evolution ecosystems in different areas (coastal administrative areas, tidal flat Yancheng National Nature Reserve (YNNR)) were screened evaluated. Based SDI, an overall ecological assessment developed, its cumulative quantified. results showed that past 40 years, Jiangsu "Basically Stable (II)", while YNNR "Weakly (III)". significant, with contribution rate 73.5 %, threshold transition this reached when amount 1251.33 km2. extent which explained variation core zone, buffer experimental zone gradually decreased, indicating greater strong protection measures place. southern region will reach maximum effect instability 2072. This study provides ideas for analysis can guidance efficient utilization flats.
