Estimation of Genetic Parameters for in vitro Culture Traits and Selection Best Progenies for Tenera Oil Palm Tissue Culture

Low in-vitro regeneration rate of oil palm is the main limitation for clonal mass propagation. To evaluate performance propagation, an experiment comprising 167 ortets are established and evaluated traits. Genetic parameters analyzed using anova, followed by Ward's clustering to classify selection best progeny. The results showed a high heritability value on callogenesis embryogenesis rate. both traits produces five clusters. KN16 progeny gives among 19 analyzed, where almost belongs cluster. Therefore, this recommended further recloning.
