Implementing Cost-optimal Methodology in Existing Public Buildings

This study presents some preliminary results of an on-going European Project, RePublic_ZEB [1], where analysis is conducted for identifying the cost optimal levels existing buildings, towards nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) performance. The applied to reference building office in five different countries: Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Greece. evaluation tool uses a new optimization procedure based on sequential search- technique considering discrete options [2] will be presented terms "package measures", energy consumption global costs.
