ABSTRACT
To examine the expression of interleukin-1β and interferon-γ their possible roles in aortic dissections aneurysms.Aortic specimens were obtained from patients with type I thoracic dissection, ascending aneurysms, control organ donors. The interleukin-1β, interferon-γ, matrix metalloproteinase-9, signal transduction factors phospho-p38 phosphorylated c-jun N-terminal kinase (phospho-JNK) detected by real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (real RT-PCR), Western blot, immunohistochemistry, respectively. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL) staining was performed to detect apoptosis media cells. correlation these also studied.Apoptosis dissection aneurysms dramatically higher than group. gradually increased group, (p < 0.01, respectively). metalloproteinase-9 significantly compared group There positive correlations between versus respectively), phospho-JNK, apoptosis, = 0.02, p 0.01).Interleukin-1β might effect formation possibly through up-regulation cells humans.
