ABSTRACT
The Italian National Institute of Ionizing Radiation Metrology (ENEA-INMRI) and the Association Medical Physics (AIFM) offer a certified audit service to radiotherapy (RT) centers for reference dosimetry. Audits are provided photon beams in range 6-18 MV including flattening filter free C-arm Linac, CyberKnife TomoTherapy beams. A dosimeter consisting set TLD chips embedded PMMA waterproof holder is used. TLDs calibrated terms absorbed dose water ENEA-INMRI 60Co γ-beam. Correction factors accounting energy dependence, signal reproducibility response stability applied evaluate dose. For each beam audited, irradiation two dosimeters with 2 Gy required conditions, according international dosimetry protocols. Audit performance evaluated theEnscore: it satisfactory if |En| ≤ 1.0. was successfully performed 94beams 34 ItalianRTcenters. Nominal energies analysed were 6 (38.3 %), FFF (33.0 10 (12.8 (4.2 15 (9.6 %) 18 (2.1 %). TheEnscores normally distributed 95 % data between -0.54 0.7; 99.5 values [-1.0,1.0] 81.1 optimal [-0.5,0.5]. As single unsatisfactory result, from form filled by RT center allowed identify an error measurement setup. Results remote audits have shown excellent centers.
