ABSTRACT
Noseongcheon catchment is a mesoscale agricultural basin with crystalline bedrocks seasonally variable precipitation and groundwater use. This study aimed to assess the influence of headwater streams on streamflow across stream network in area under temperate monsoonal climate conditions. Using hydrochemical parameters stable isotopes water dry rainy seasons, sources contributing were identified seasonal changes system evaluated. Seasonal variations indicated that contributions major changed according pattern. Groundwater affected by activities discharges into at piedmont from mountain plain, irrespective season. However, contribution uncontaminated bedrock discharge (MBD) showed marked difference between season The MBD ranged 20% 75% season, while it increased up 90% These results indicate responses mountainous factor affecting hydrological functioning whole network.
