ABSTRACT
The shear zone characterization is a substantial task for understanding the influencing tectonic movements. In this study, an integrated approach of remote sensing and aeromagnetic data introduced to imagine trace subsurface between Central (CED) Southern (SED) domains Egyptian Eastern Desert in comparison with previously proposed approaches mainly using only surface criteria. To produce enhanced geological map reflecting different lithological units along both sides surficial zone, Landsat-8 images are processed interpreted False Color Composite (FCC), Ratio Composites (CRC). Moreover, associated lineaments their trends extracted from Digital Elevation Model (DEM) extraction approaches. For delineating structures pattern tracking probable CED/SED boundary, datasets reduced magnetic pole (RTP) and, then, by applying significant techniques comprising upward continuation, Gaussian separation filter, horizontal gradient magnitude (HGM), tilt derivative angle (TDR). best path line at depths was imagined; agrees some geologists' opinion regarding superficial description separating zone. On other hand, trend analysis applied on data, positive matching resulting data. NW direction represents data's major less common NNW NS, NNE, ENE trends. This relation reflects extension effect study area.
