ABSTRACT
Abstract The current study verifies that crystalized NiMoO 4 nanowire array can be converted into integrated 3D MoSe 2 @Ni 0.85 Se nanowire network via hydrothermal approach. After selenization, the periphery of each nanowire frame is coated by multilayered and misaligned MoSe 2 with a high density of active sites, and Ni 0.85 Se as conductive component is embedded inside each nanowire for facilitating fast electron transfer. Such 3D nanowire network with core/shell feature shows promising results for hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline medium with 117 mV overpotential needed to reach the current density of 10 mA cm −2 and superior long-term stability during 20 hours test.
