ABSTRACT
We present an open source, fully wireless potentiostat (the “NanoStat”) for applications in electrochemistry, sensing, biomedical diagnostics, and nanotechnology, based on only 2 integrated circuit chips: A digital microcontroller with board WiFi file/web server hardware/software, analog front end. This versatile platform is capable of all modern electrochemisty assays, including cyclic voltammetry, square wave chronoamperometry, normal pulse voltammetry. The user interface a web browser connected over http. All the code (firmware, HTML5, JavaScript) hosted by NanoStat itself without need any additional software. total size 4×40×20 mm battery operation 6 h demonstrated, possible to extend weeks or months sleep mode. anticipate that this could be very broad, from sensing clinic, remote monitoring unattended “motes”, even possibly aerial pathogens such as COVID large public spaces anything other than anywhere world. Finally, we propose use software suite basis (kernel) general purpose, electrochemistry suite, abstracted hardware, which call “OpenEChem”.
