ABSTRACT
Thermally comfortable mircoclimate is essential for creating high-quality outdoor spaces that attract citizens and boost city vitality. Previous design efforts to improve thermal comfort were usually conducted at large scales, such as scale, neighborhood urban block scale. Few researchers focused on the building This study proposes an optimization framework based genetic algorithm determine shape, orientation, location during early stage reduces overall stress in target space. Solar radiation wind fields simulated obtain Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) performance indicator. The simulations validated against experimental data. investigation applied proposed space a kindergarten under climate of Tianjin Shanghai, respectively. results showed reduced stress. most favourable forms suggested through optimization. Moreover, solar has been proved contribute more than field heat important cold supplements inverse scale provides suggestions create spaces.
