ABSTRACT
This paper presents the results of experimental research carried out on an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system with two volumetric expanders running in serial and parallel mode. Both tested had a nominal power 1 kWe. The heat source used was boiler 35 kWt, powered by wood biomass. main aim study to determine parameters isentropic efficiency operating ORC, when connected series or parallel. analysis showed that maximum thermal mode 3.07%, about 3.31%. second-law 8.82% 9.53% respectively. When set operated mode, electrical measured after rectifier 993 We, 1,206 We. In both operation modes, average supplied condenser approximately 22 kWt at temperature fluid 72–73 °C. amount could be for preparation domestic hot water and/or space heating single-family house. article fills literature gap studies scroll modes ORC microsystems, which are very few this moment.
