ABSTRACT
Three-dimensional geological modelling based on triangulated irregular networks (TINs) often results in deterministic models that do not capture the uncertainty of stratigraphic attributes. This study presents a method for building 3D TIN model incorporates probability analysis and random simulation to account this uncertainty. First, we generated Markov chain sequence stratum combined it with correlation boreholes obtain transition matrix virtual borehole. was then used describe changes stratum. Second, constructed probabilistic thickness state through Monte Carlo simulation. Using algorithm, built an overall added validation adjust maximum area. Finally, performed case South China verify method, including visualisation, comparative analysis. Our demonstrate proposed effectively visualises configuration quantifies uncertainty, providing reference modelling.
