Modelling the determinants of electrical vehicles adoption in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

ABSTRACT
This study investigates consumer acceptance of electric vehicles (EVs) in Riyadh, focusing on their response to adoption incentives. Utilising a stated preference survey, mixed logit model was used conjunction with survey insights derive the final findings. Those include finding higher sensitivity changes monetary values EVs than conventional vehicles. Also, presence accessible charging infrastructure and non-financial incentives (e.g., designated public parking spaces) were found significantly increase likelihood EV adoption. While Saudi participants less likely expats purchase EVs, females consumers 40s showed purchasing an EV. Furthermore, shorter trip durations personal acquaintance owners Riyadh positively influenced rates.
