ABSTRACT
Urban cellular automata (CA) models are broadly used in quantitative analyses and predictions of urban land-use dynamics. However, most CA developed with neighborhood rules consider only a small scope under specific spatial resolution. Here, we quantify effects relatively large space analyze their role the performance an land use model. The extracted were integrated into commonly logistic regression model (Logistic-CA), resulting (Logistic-LNCA). Land-use simulations both evaluated expansion data Xiamen City, China. Simulations Logistic-LNCA raised accuracies built-up by 3.0%–3.9% two simulation periods compared Logistic-CA 3 × kernel. Parameter sensitivity analysis indicated that there was optimal window size corresponding parameter configuration.
