ABSTRACT
This study constructs a preliminary inventory of landslides triggered by the MS 6.8 Luding earthquake based on field investigation and human-computer interaction visual interpretation optical satellite images. The results show that this at least 5 007 landslides, with total landslide area 17.36 km2, which smallest is 65 m2 largest reaches 120 747 m2, an average about 3 500 m2. obtained are concentrated in IX intensity zone northeast side seismogenic fault, density point 13.8%, 35.73 km−2 peaks 2 km as search radius. It should be noted number paper will lower than actual situation because some areas covered clouds there no available post-earthquake remote sensing Based images, roughly estimated to up 10 000. can used support further research distribution pattern risk evaluation coseismic region, prevention control hazards seismic area.
