ABSTRACT
Global climate changes urge prompt energy transition for less carbon emissions, from traditional fossil fuels to renewable and sustainable clean energy. However, in reality, the world's majority cannot make U-turn immediately renewables or due immature technology readiness, insufficient resource availability unstable supply. In next few decades, fuels, particularly oil gas, will continue acting as primary sector. Thus, instead of absolutely abandoning fuel seeking impractical mitigation technologies, decarbonise gas be definitely feasible contribute more net-zero transitions. This study, initially put eyes on decarbonization, critically reviewing resources, policies, their futures toward net-zero. Basically, status resources different global regions, including details reserves, productions, consumptions, are summarized analyzed. Moreover, technologies categorized thermal non-thermal, new recovery methods, each which is specifically discussed applicable reservoir, mechanism, features examples. Then, emissions reviewed perspectives types world regions well mitigations policies. Accordingly, approaches, specially industry, collected listed enterprise managements renovations. Lastly, based all information analyses assisted with IEA outlook report, we provide a potential pathway towards neutral. paper provides comprehensive overview net-zero, not only technically guide decarbonisations, also interest wide-range readers who experts but intend understand
