ABSTRACT
The present study aims to investigate the effects of gum rosin (GR) microspheres coating over hydrophobicity outer layer a polypropylene (PP) based surgical face mask. was deposited surface mask by electrospraying technique. deposition GR confirmed field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis. thermal analysis determined cooperative effect between fibre increase maximum degradation rate temperature onset temperature. To follow mask, FESEM wettability analyses were conducted before after 3, 6, 9 h wearing time. In image, it seen that microsphere homogeneously distributed nonwoven its presence increases roughness fibres due bulge microspheres. measurements suggest helps keep original even 6 Indeed, time, water contact angle (WCA) coated is higher than WCA without at 3 Therefore, gun improved which may allow protection and/or extended lifetime use.
