ABSTRACT
Gracilaria lemaneiformis polysaccharide (GLP) has varieties of antioxidation, however, the therapeutic effects GLP on ulcerative colitis (UC) and potential mechanisms involved are still incomplete. In study, analysis ζ-potential, thermal, morphology properties demonstrated that was a negatively charged polymer, had great thermostability irregular network. Moreover, treatment reducing severity caused by dextran sulfate sodium alleviating colon damage mice, increasing amount short-chain fatty acids in intestines, histopathological inflammation. The sequencing results α-diversity showed could improve biodiversity, restore abundance Bacteroidetes, decrease proportion Firmicutes. level CCL-25 CCR-9 were inhibited, CD40 TGF-β1 increased. summary, potentiality to be utilized as hopeful functional food UC patients.
