ABSTRACT
The study aimed to develop fish powder as a promising dietary supplement combat inadequate nutrition. To achieve this goal, the assessed nutritional aspects, including proximate composition, mineral content, amino acid profile, and fatty well microbiological quality heavy metal contents, of six small indigenous species. protein content ranged from 57.73% 65.26%, with G. chapra exhibiting highest (p < 0.001). In all powders, composition was found in following order: Na > P Ca K> Mg Fe Mn Zn. results revealed significantly elevated levels total essential acids A. mola (227.20 mg/g, p PUFA/SFA ratio (> 0.45) ω-6/ω-3 (< 4.00) were generally optimal. safety products for human consumption confirmed, both colony count concentrations remained below recommended threshold. All ready-to-use products, except mola, meet over 20% daily needs PLW, infants, adults. Hence, these findings advocate utilization studied species address malnutrition.
