ABSTRACT
Rapid urbanization brings about drastic changes in land use and soil quality. Glomalin-related protein (GRSP), a sensitive indicator of quality, is possibly secreted by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). Besides, microorganisms enzymatic activities play an irreplaceable role improving quality regulating nutrient circulation. However, little data are available on the interactions between GRSP, microorganisms, during urbanization. Here, we selected built-up area (505 km2) Nanchang, China, collected samples from 184 sites different urbanized areas. Soil physicochemical properties, activities, vegetation characteristics, land-use configurations were used to decouple variations total GRSP (TG) easily extractable (EEG) Results showed that TG EEG contents significantly decreased 16.2 % 19.4 low heavy areas, respectively. Moreover, N-acetylglucosamine glycosidase (NAG), acid phosphatase (AP), leucine aminopeptidase (LAP) biomass gram-positive bacteria (G+) actinomycetes larger lightly than heavily areas (p < 0.05). positively correlated with β-1,4-glucosidase (BG), NAG, LAP, AP, G+, gram-negative bacteria, actinomycetes, microbial Variance partitioning analysis pivotal production. no direct evidence shows AMF secrete GRSP. Furthermore, structural equation modeling found could diminish reducing cover increasing proportion impervious surface area, indirectly causing decrease content.
