ABSTRACT
Accurate quantification of the gas hydrate content in deep sea is useful for assessing resource potential and understanding role hydrates global carbon cycle. Resistivity logging data combined with Archie's equation are often used to calculate saturation, but reliability dependent on rationality empirical parameter cementation factor saturation index. At present, an increasing number fine-grained hydrate-rich sediment regions have been discovered worldwide through drilling efforts, reservoir types distribution diverse, which differs greatly from that coarse-grained reservoirs hydrate-bearing sediment. This results vertical variations m n stratigraphy. evaluation effect these cannot be improved. In this work, a theory determination index was first proposed obtain reliable variable values parameters. Then, technique variables formed based well data. evaluate complex several worldwide. It found highest could 16, log calculation were more consistent core saturation. Additionally, cause excessively high explained physical principles, result verified actually future evaluations amount resources worldwide, new estimation methods should taken into account advance research.
