ABSTRACT
A large amount of plastic waste has been released into the environment during increase in global production 21st century. Microplastics (0.1 µm to 5 mm size) existing hydro-systems, especially aquatic sediments, can enter organisms and then human body through food chain. This paper provided preliminary observation results on microplastic presence surface sediment aquaculture ponds (fish) Hanoi city 2021. Our showed that concentrations ranged from 2,767 ± 240 2,833 176 items.kg−1 dry weights for two ponds. Two main shape groups fiber fragment were detected, which fibers dominated (62% 82% observed). For fibers, green, white, black red colors, whereas fragments, yellow, blue white ones. Polyethylene (PE) polypropylene (PP) polymer types found samples. The sources may mainly come contaminated water Nhue River, direct activities. this study contributed build a dataset pollution environment, Vietnam. also revealed need different environments organisms, zone
