ABSTRACT
BackgroundDifferent forms of conscious and planned physical exercise activity that individuals perform improve not only but also psychological health, well-being, both intellectual performance. Here we put forward test the predictive validity Archer-Garcia Ratio, a brief measure for frequency computed using participants’ responses to two questions.MethodThe participants (N = 158) were recruited from training facility in south Sweden. The Ratio was constructed by standardizing (i.e., z-scores) then summarizing individuals’ questions: “How often do you exercise?” (1 never, 5 times/week or more) “Estimate level effort when exercise” none very low, 10 high).
