ABSTRACT
The high growth of Water Hyacinth/Eichhornia crassipes (WH) led to several problems such as ecosystem, irrigation, and sedimentation. rapid water hyacinth in natural rivers, reservoir, lake canals causes drainage many nations. As a result, local offices must spend significant annual budgets dispose wastes. Meanwhile, cellulose fiber from WH had potential application composite (NFC). This study investigated the development use wastes for production unidirectional dan weaved epoxy resin composites. purpose this research is investigate at mechanical physical properties woven reinforced composites variation 0 % wt., 15 25 wt. 35 fibers. was obtained mechanically processed plants. were manufactured through hand lay-up method. tensile impact tests carried out based on ASTM D3039 D6110 respectively, while density tested Archimedes rule. results showed that increasing fiber, strength decrease. increases by rise fibers direct proportion amount pore or void between matrix, which delamination mode fracture. Tensile increase
