ABSTRACT
The influence of energy drinks on dental materials are relatively under addressed. Our aim was to investigate the effect used intraorally in young individuals. Commonly preventive, restorative, and orthodontic were tested vitro. two commercially available (HELL, BURN) investigated different materials: machined, anodized Titanium (grade 5: Ti6Al4V) composites (Grandio Seal, VOCO; Filtek Z250, 3M ESPE; Estelite SQ, TOKUYAMA). roughness (Ra) morphological changes examined by atomic force microscopy (AFM) scanning electron (SEM). AFM SEM revealed significant differences Ra morphology samples. results for machined titanium samples showed that modified surface differently; BURN changed significantly, while discs not altered significantly drinks. In case composite there no difference relative low Z250 Grandio Seal. On all materials, more or less detected, proving do fact have a harmful effect. It can be concluded material erosion depends composition particle arrangement. Where is characterized regular, uniform arrangement, able roughness, where rich aggregates, erodes much easily.
