ABSTRACT
Shengjiang Xiexin Decoction (SXD) is a widely recognized formula in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for treating diarrhea and commonly used clinical practice. Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) type of antibiotic-associated with rising incidence rate that has severe consequences humans. Recent applications have found significant efficacy using SXD as an adjunct to CDI treatment. However, the pharmacodynamic substance basis therapeutic mechanism remain unclear. This study aimed systematically analyze metabolic mechanisms key components mice by combining non-targeted metabolomics medicine serum medicinal chemistry. We established mouse model observe effect on CDI. investigated action active composition against analyzing 16S rDNA gut microbiota, untargeted metabolomics, pharmacochemistry. also constructed multi-scale, multifactorial network overall visualization analysis. Our results showed significantly reduced fecal toxin levels attenuated colonic injury mice. Additionally, partially restored CDI-induced microbiota composition. Non-targeted studies not only regulated Taurine hypotaurine metabolism but energy amino acid pathways such Ascorbate aldarate metabolism, Glycerolipid Pentose glucuronate interconversions, well body other metabolite production host. Through implementation analysis methodologies, we discerned Panaxadiol, Methoxylutcolin, Ginsenoside-Rf, Suffruticoside A, 10 serve critical potential bases reveals treatment phenotypic information, microbiome, herbal It provides theoretical quality control studies.
