ABSTRACT
Filter media composed of electrostatically charged nonwovens is the key device in an air purifier. Pleated filters are constructed from a cardboard frame with lattice faces containing filter reinforce by expanded support grid, which have more surface area for trapping contaminants and capture airborne effectively than non-pleated filters. The aim this work to investigate dominant factors on filtration efficiency dust holding performance pleated using modified numerical model. It found that geometric parameters play important roles purifier based particle loading efficiency. stable structural include bending angle material range 0∼60° ratio portion less 0.5. Lower filling degree shorter length unit exhibit similar stability efficiency, indicating change has little effects performance. knowledge obtained provides concrete reference design high-performance air-cleaner element.
