ABSTRACT
Local markets are primarily the center for trade and distribution of fruits vegetables in Ghana. Fruit vegetable vendors responsible keeping food hygienic safe from contamination. However, little is known about fruit vendors' knowledge, attitudes, practices (KAP) toward hygiene safety local markets. This study aimed to assess KAP Ho City. Data on was collected 113 Central Market using a structured questionnaire. The data analyzed two-way multivariate analysis variance (MANOVA) one-way (ANOVA) examine association demographic variables with attitude, practice safety. A correlation conducted determine intercorrelation among variables. results suggest significant differences medical examination certificates knowledge (Wilks = 0.60, F 2.82, p˂0.00), attitude 0.71, 2.10, p˂0.01), 0.59, 1.79, p˂0.01). found between three domains, but influence weak. attitudes were supportive favorable. some not encouraging lack basic amenities market influenced vendors. Improved environmental sanitation conditions at vital prevent foodborne diseases.
