ABSTRACT
BackgroundFibrosis is a heavy burden on the global healthcare system. Recently, an increasing number of studies have demonstrated that Extracellular vesicles play important role in intercellular communication under both physiological and pathological conditions. This study aimed to explore extracellular vesicles' fibrosis using bibliometric methods.MethodsOriginal articles reviews related were obtained from Web Science Core Collection database November 9, 2022. VOSviewer was used obtain general information, including co-institution, co-authorship, co-occurrence visualization maps. The CiteSpace software analyze citation bursts keywords references, timeline view top clusters cited articles, dual map. R package "bibliometrix" annual production, per year, collaboration network between countries/regions, thematic evolution map, historiography network.ResultsIn total, 3376 published 2013 2022 included this study, with China United States being contributors. Shanghai Jiao Tong University has highest publications. main collaborators Giovanni Camussi, Stefania Bruno, Marta Tepparo, Cristina Grange. Journals molecular, biology, genetics, health, immunology, medicine tended publish literature fibrosis. "Recovery," "heterogeneity," "degradation," "inflammation," "mesenchymal stem cells" are research field. Literature associated several diseases, "kidney disease," "rheumatoid arthritis," "skin regeneration" may be latest hot field.ConclusionsThis provides comprehensive perspective through analysis We identified most influential countries, institutions, authors, journals. provide information recent frontiers trends for scholars interested field Their biological processes great potential initiate new upsurge future research.
