ABSTRACT
BackgroundCoinfection poses a persistent threat to global public health due its severe effect on individual-level infection risk and disease outcome. Coinfection of SARS-CoV2 with one or more pathogens has been documented. Nevertheless, this virus co-infected the Hantaan (HTNV) is rarely reported.Case summaryHere, we presented three cases HTNV complicated infection. Not only conditions including general clinical manifestations, immune inflammation parameters fluctuation in single can be found, but also unexpected manifestations have attracted our attention that as symptoms exudative changes both lungs an amount bilateral pleural effusion well kidney enlargement rather than typical viral pneumonia Fortunately, patients gradually return normal which beneficial from antiviral treatment, hemodialysis, various supportive therapies anti-inflammation, liver gastric mucosa protection.ConclusionUnexpected coinfection present herein may associated multiple factors load, competition antagonism among antigens, susceptibility target cells pathogens, even though pathogenesis remains elucidated. Given these two viruses posed profound influence socioeconomic, healthcare system worldwide, health, it warranted for clinicians, authorities, infectious researchers high index consideration SARS-CoV2.
