ABSTRACT
ObjectivePrevious studies from outside China showed that the knowledge, attitudes, and practice (KAP) of chronic refractory cough (CRC) was moderate among physicians. This study examined KAP toward CRC in Chinese healthcare providers.MethodsThis single-center cross-sectional conducted at The Sixth Affiliated Hospital Nantong University, Yancheng Third People's Hospital, July 2022 to January 2023 enrolled providers. demographic characteristics scores were collected using a questionnaire (Cronbach's α = 0.934) developed based on guidelines.ResultsThe included 539 mean knowledge score 8.27 ± 2.37 (maximum 14, 59.07%), indicating poor knowledge. highest rates inaccuracies pertained about definition cough, empirical treatment methods, potential risks different treatments, suggesting need for unified training all aspects medical staff. attitude 49.74 63.63 60, 82.90%), favorable attitudes.
