Emphysematous pyelonephritis and emphysematous cystitis in a patient with neurogenic bladder: A case report

ABSTRACT
Emphysematous pyelonephritis and cystitis, rare potentially life-threatening infections marked by gas accumulation in the urinary tract, are described a 32-year-old male with history of myelomeningocele neurogenic bladder managed Benchekroune valve. Clinical radiological findings confirmed emphysematous cystitis. A conservative approach, including drainage four-week antibiotic treatment (ceftriaxone metronidazole), led to rapid clinical improvement. This case underscores successful management patient, emphasizing effectiveness treatment.
