ABSTRACT
Chronic lung diseases (CLDs) and cardiovascular (CVDs) are the main chronic responsible for a considerable burden of disease. This study aimed to estimate interrelation CLDs CVDs using two Chinese national longitudinal cohort studies. The China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS) were used in this with 15,052 9,765 participants, respectively. The Cox proportional risk model was between CVDs. Mediating effects performed detect possible influencing pathways CVDs.The association identified 1,647 participants (10.9%) newly diagnosed CHARLS 332 (11.6%) CLHLS. showed that significant predictor (HR 1.49, 95% CI 1.27-1.76) after adjusting covariates, hazard ratios stroke excluding 1.02, 0.79-1.31) 1.76, 1.46-2.13), These mediated by body mass index (BMI) Center Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D-10) scores. No found CLHLS regarding CLDs. In CHARLS, 1.40, 1.09-1.79).Chronic disease associated increased incidence middle-aged older people community population vice versa. Body depressive symptoms might be effect CLD on CVD.
