ABSTRACT
Pancreatic fistula is a life-threatening complication of pancreaticoduodenectomy. Omega-like duct-to-mucosa pancreatojejunostomy novel technique which helps reduce the risk fistulation. This study aimed to compare early postoperative outcomes omega-like and conventional pancreatojejunostomy.A retrospective single-centre cohort comparing adult patients who underwent open pancreatoduodenectomy with (CDMP) or (ODMP) between 1 January 2015 31 December 2019. The primary outcome measure was pancreatic rate.440 were included in this whom 233 CDMP 207 ODMP. rate clinically relevant (grade B/C) significantly higher after than ODMP (18.5% vs. 10.6%, P = 0.021). 153 group 99 developed one more complications (65.7% 47.8%, 0.004). average hospitalization expenses numerically decreased group, although not statistically significant (120,000 ± 42,000 [Chinese Yuan] 100,000 40,000 18,581 6503 [United States Dollar] 15,484 6194 Dollar], 0.402).ODMP may incidence other pancreatoduodenectomy.
