ABSTRACT
High temperature stress is one of the major environmental factors that affect growth and development plants. Although WRKY transcription play a critical role in responses, there are few studies on regulation heat by factors, especially tomato. Here, we identified group I factor, SlWRKY3, involved thermotolerance First, SlWRKY3 was induced upregulated under stress. Accordingly, overexpression led to an increase, whereas knock-out resulted decreased tolerance Overexpression accumulated less reactive oxygen species (ROS), more ROS This indicated positively regulates In addition, activated expression range abiotic stress-responsive genes scavenging, such as SlGRXS1 gene cluster. Further analysis showed can bind promoters cluster activate their expression. Collectively, these results imply positive regulator through direct binding activating scavenging.
