ABSTRACT
Bilateral empyema is a rare and severe condition deciding on treatment quite difficult. Additionally, infections caused by group A Streptococcus (GAS [Streptococcus pyogenes]) are known to be invasive. We successfully treated without surgery previously healthy 59-year-old woman with bilateral due GAS, repeated drainages, antibiotics, fibrinolytic therapy. To our knowledge, there have not been any published reports cases of GAS infection. In rare, organisms such as physicians managing the should consider overall patient.
