ABSTRACT
The present study focuses on doing a thermodynamic analysis of desalination system that utilizes the humidification-dehumidification (HDH) process with semi-open-air (SOA) circulation. HDH is notable example developed utilized for freshwater production. This has advantage being able to derive its energy from solar sources. categorization units determined by configuration their components, direction water and air movement, kind heating employed each stream. noted utilization this particular circulation strategy, while maintaining constant maximum temperature, leads enhanced efficiency when combined heating. However, no substantial impact was detected method in conjunction (AH). Each type different ratio mass flow rates (MFRs) streams. means stays same, matter how moves through system. examination temperature relative humidity characteristics environment indicated unit applicable places characterized both arid humid conditions. Furthermore, modes, it been observed employing SOA superior elevated. In context and/or heating, specific value assigned MFR two streams, modifying mode does not have an overall It shown article heater highest GOR attained at either FCR=1 or FCR=0, depending operational Also clearly works most efficient (GOR=3.4) it's Semi-open-air (FRC=0.77) 50°C. On other hand, 2.94 exchange closed (FRC=1). same way, 2.88 if open (FRC=0).
