ABSTRACT
ObjectiveTo investigate olfactory and gustatory dysfunction in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Wuhan using a telephone interview.MethodsThis retrospective survey investigated 196 consecutive COVID-19 at 3 months after discharge from two hospitals Wuhan, China. The characteristics of the patient's course time to recovery and/or (OD GD) were collected by interview. Demographic data patient medical records.ResultsA total completed study. most prevalent general symptoms fever, cough, fatigue. Overall, 19.9% reported OD GD. In 87.2% these cases, or GD appeared symptoms. was more than 4 weeks 51.4% patients. Patients had significantly higher rates cardiovascular without (p = 0.002).ConclusionsRecovery chemosensory slow, over half taking recover. Cardiovascular might be related development taste disorders COVID-19.
