COVID-19 Vaccine Acceptance among Health Care Workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

ABSTRACT
The purpose of our study was to assess COVID-19 vaccine acceptance among health care workers (HCWs) in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA) and identify: 1) barriers; 2) demographic differences; 3) most trusted sources information.Between October December 2020, all registered HCWs KSA were emailed a survey questionnaire, using Qualtrics® Google Forms®, evaluating their vaccine.Of 23,582 participants surveyed, 15,299 (64.9%) said they would accept vaccine. Vaccine differed by several characteristics, with males (69.7%), Christians (71.9%), Pakistanis (81.6%) likely Of 8,202 (35.1%) who not vaccine, main reason reported fear potential side effects (58.5%). Participants officials (84.6%) as reliable source information. Additionally, highest confidence Ministry Health (88.5%).Overall, these findings provide authorities information needed develop public messaging campaigns for best address concerns-especially country prepares vaccinate its general population.
