ABSTRACT
ObjectivesAlthough evidence is growing on the overall impact of COVID-19 pandemic tuberculosis (TB) services, global studies based national data are needed to better quantify extent and countries' preparedness tackle two diseases. A descriptive analysis compared incidence DR-TB mortality pre-COVID-19 year (2019) first (2020).ResultsComparing 2019, lower cases (new diagnosis recurrence) notified all (except USA-Virginia Australia), fewer notifications (apart from France, Portugal, Spain). among were higher most three (France, Netherlands, USA-Virginia) reporting minimal TB-related mortality.ConclusionsA comprehensive evaluation medium-term services would benefit similar multiple settings availability treatment outcome TB/COVID-19 co-infected patients.
