ABSTRACT
Quantitative assessment is an essential tool in determining the proportion of liver to be reserved before lobectomy. Technetium-99 m sulfur colloid single-photon emission computed tomography (Tc-99 SC SPECT-CT) can help quantitative functioning tissues and percentage reserve segmentectomy lobectomy Matesan et al. (2017), Bowen (2016) Lam (2013).A 64-year-old man with alcoholic cirrhosis was admitted our hospital a 15 × 10 x 13 cm bilobar HCC. Y90 radioembolization utilized downstage tumor. On follow-up CT scan after radiotherapy, HCC much reduced 6.5 size but still viable elevated alpha fetoprotein ([AFP] from 225 381 959 ng/mL). Resection considered. Constitutional indocyanine green retention at min (ICG-R-15) 22%. We introduced Tc-99 SPECT-CT order assess function each lobe. It showed minimal uptake remaining right lobe hypertrophic left whole ratio 87.1%. This finding gave us confidence perform hepatectomy. We used estimate normal functional hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). To understanding, it first case report using predict yttrium-90 (Y90) radioembolization.Tc-99 novel helper differential liver.
